At Rolph and Co, we absolutely love photographing animals. Which makes sense, because our studio mascot is Ralph, a very opinionated black pug who has been running the place since before we had any clients. He has strong views on treats, the lighting setup, and which spot on the studio floor belongs to him.
Gavin works with pets with the same patience and calm he brings to every shoot. Animals in front of cameras can be unpredictable, so he builds in plenty of time and works entirely at their pace. Tiny fingers, sleepy smiles, that perfect little face. We help you hold onto all of it. Newborn sessions at Rolph and Co are led by Gavin, who has a wonderful gift for working with brand new babies and nervous new parents alike. Sessions are warm, unhurried and completely at your baby's pace. If they need a feed, a cuddle or a nappy change, we stop. There is no rush here.
Unlike many studios, we don't ask you to book before your baby arrives. We'd rather you meet them first. Once they're here, get in touch as soon as you can. Sessions work best in the first 14 days, when babies are at their sleepiest and most curled up.
We welcome the whole family into the studio. Brothers, sisters, grandparents, everyone is encouraged to be part of the shoot. This is about capturing your family in this moment, not just a baby on a blanket.
Sessions typically last around 3 hours, giving plenty of time for feeds, cuddles and settling at whatever pace your baby needs.
